Help grow local food access in Illinois by connecting the farmers market community to resources, education, and training!

Support the Illinois Farmers Market Association (IFMA) Barnraiser Campaign.   to check out the incentives and pledge today. Barnraiser is a social and funding community that allows its members to influence and scale the food movement by connecting to innovators of sustainable food and farming, celebrating their stories, and collectively backing projects that shape how we farm and eat, locally and globally.

IFMA helps to make local food more accessible in Illinois. Access to fresh, local food impacts the health of the community and stimulates a community’s economic development. Farmers markets bring shoppers to a community. The shoppers then support the market vendors and the businesses in close proximity to the market.

Illinois currently ranks third in the nation for the number of farmers markets. As the number of markets grow and professionalize in the state, IFMA is here to provide market managers (often volunteers), vendors, and farmers with critical education and training on best practices, policy, and regulations.
